The brazilian critical geography: reflections on a recent debate
Abstract
This article presents some reflections on the debate of the analytic approach of “critical geography”, as it is commonly known, which rose on the 1st National Colloquium of Epistemology of Geography. Basically, it points to principal assumptions in pioneer oeuvres of this current, which were published throughout the seventies and eighties, to demonstrate the utility of the expression “Critical Geography” in its contemporary historical context, and which urge for a more profound discussion of its theoretical premises. Key words: epistemology; critical geography; marxism.Downloads
