Abstract

The concept of environmental justice has been widely worked on to explain the imbalance in the way that environmental impacts affect different parts of the population. Thus, this work seeks to analyze how this damage distribution works in the population of Sorocaba / SP. With this purpose, from the data of the IBGE census of 2010, socio-environmental indexes were created, linked in thematic maps through a Geographic Information System, which allowed a detailed analysis of environmental inequality by the census sectors of the city.
