Structuring and large-scale ventures have considerable impacts on the environment. The duplication and adequacy of BR-101/BA is no different, but it is necessary to comply with the requirements of the environmental licensing process. The present work aims to analyze the results of the actions promoted by the Environmental Manager of the works of adaptation and duplication of BR 101 / BA, in the quilombola communities Timbó, in Esplanada, Fazenda Porteiras, in the municipality of Entre Rios, and Fazenda Oiteiros and Fazenda Cangula in Alagoinhas. In methodological terms, primary and secondary data were used. The results indicate that the activities carried out did not fully achieve their true intention, that is, to mitigate the impacts suffered with the installation of the adaptation and duplication of BR 101/BA, but attempts were made to maintain the quilombola territory with its preserved history. Technical knowledge and the implementation of actions generated income possibilities for quilombola populations through the multiplication of environmental actions and local improvement.
