The coastal zone is a region near the coastline with a high population concentration, which generates environmental problems. To better manage the territory and mitigate these impacts, it is necessary to collect information through technical-scientific studies, such as geo-environmental zoning. This study aimed to conduct environmental zoning considering abiotic and biotic factors, with the intention of contributing to territorial management through geo-environmental mapping and field activities. Based on the results obtained, the study area was subdivided into six distinct zones, with the local geology as a criterion. These zones include zone 1 (barrier formation, crystalline basement, and paleodunes), zone 2 (wetland zone), zone 3 (active dunes), zone 4 (fixed dunes), zone 5 (beach zone), and zone 6 (marine terraces). This approach provided a deeper understanding of the terrain, allowing for a direct assessment of the characteristics and elements present in the study area.
