The support networks and the articulation of territorial fluidity in the Immediate Region of Campo Grande - MS
Abstract
The understanding of disparities and the continuous process of innovations in space drive the structure of globalization in the development of telecommunications. In this sense, the general objective of this article is based on the analysis of the support networks (mobile and broadband internet, cellular mobile telephony, antennas and cables) and the articulation of territorial fluidity in the spatial area of the immediate region of Campo Grande – MS. The results obtained reveal that modernization alters consumption patterns, concomitant with the unequal distribution of the internet in Brazil. Thus, access to innovation is centralized in areas with higher population density, especially the city of Campo Grande in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. On the other hand, the cities around it, which in turn, develop in a reduced proportionality at different scales of connections. Notably, a technological delay in innovations and in the socio-spatial structures of the territory is identified, evidencing the variations of regional development.
