Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The contribution is original and unpublished and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; or, as a special case, it is a text already published in a foreign journal and is accompanied by authorization, with the signature of the editor of the journal in which it was originally published. The following is an attached letter containing: authorization for the beginning of the editorial and language review process, as well as granting of copyrights to the journal, signed by all authors, highlighting in which modality the text fits.
- The following is a letter attesting to the approval by the institution's ethics committee, pursuant to Resolutions 196/96 and 251/97, of the National Health Council, as my text refers to research with human beings. Or, my research demands no such requirement.
- There is no identification of authorship in the text. It was even removed from the file and from the Properties option in Word, thus guaranteeing the journal's confidentiality criterion, if submitted for peer review as modalities 1 to 3, according to instructions available in Ensuring Double Blind Peer Review.
- In case of research with human beings, insert in the body of the text the number of the research protocol.
-
Similarity check
To verify originality, all manuscripts will be verified by the originality detection service using Turnitin software. If evidence of plagiarism is found before the review process, the manuscript will be rejected and a letter to the corresponding author will be sent. If evidence of plagiarism is found after acceptance, or even after publication of the article, authors are given a chance for rebuttal. If the arguments are not satisfactory, the article will be withdrawn. The final decision will be made by the Editorial team.
- All authors were entered into the system at the time of submission
