Abstract

In this article we explore the research on non-formal education and scientific dissemination in Brazil. These are areas whose importance has grown in recent decades but that, on the other hand, are not yet consolidated. The concepts themselves are ambiguous and existing research is scattered over several areas and vehicles of dissemination. Analyzing published literature reviews in the area, we propose to integrate results and to contribute to the delineation of a portrait of the research on these themes, identifying trends and developments. Our analysis confirm that the research on non-formal education and scientific dissemination has grown in recent decades in Brazil, although the actual number of publications is still low. Meanwhile, the main vehicle of publication are conferences, and studies in museums are the most covered by these research works. Keywords: Literature review. Non-formal education. Scientific dissemination.
