This article aims to discuss the didactic possibilities of relating History teaching in light of the Historical-Cultural Theory. Using a bibliographical review of authors such as Vigotsky, Leontiev and Galperin, we sought to highlight the need to develop methodologies that promote learning and assimilation of concepts, aiming to develop students' cognition. The study stresses the importance of planning study activities and the use of psychological and pedagogical theories that encourage creativity and criticality, indispensable elements for learning History.
