In Brazil, as in other countries, there is the consolidation of external evaluation of educational policies and initiatives of government, having as main object the performance of students in reading and problem solving. Their results also have served as a basis for evaluating schools and teachers, including subsidy policies. Accordingly, to identify the quality of student performance on standardized tests such as the almost exclusive responsibility of school staff to external evaluation becomes a policy of accountability, or responsabilization. However, considering in this work, the results of external assessments may, on the other hand, establish a quality control of teaching, to monitor the students learning and the work done by school staff.Downloads
