ANÁLISE MORFOMÉTRICA DA BACIA DO RIBEIRÃO BALAINHO MUNICÍPIO DE SUZANO (SP)

Abstract

The research presented is part of a series of surveys of the physical aspects of the city of Suzano, located in the metropolitan region of Sao Paulo. The watershed chosen is the Ribeirão Balainho, Taiaçupeba tributary of the dam, which is the main contributor Taiaçupeba-Açu river, the dam for water supply for municipalities in the region. This research aims to identify areas of greatest potential to denudativos processes through mapping morphometric. Thus, the study aims to present the characteristics of relief, as well as inferred about its dynamic geomorphological to point out areas unsuited for development due to the characteristics of the terrain and thus ensure that urbanization affects not so drastic as part of environment.
