CONFECÇÃO DO MAPA DE DENSIDADE DE DRENAGEM ATRAVÉS DE GEOTECNOLOGIAS VISANDO DEFINIR A VULNERABILIDADE AOS PROCESSOS EROSIVOS NA SUB-BACIA DO BAIXO PIRACICABA (SP)

Abstract

This work aims to accomplish a map of the density of drainage through techniques of remote sensing and kriging. Hence, vulnerable areas toward the erosive processes of the Sub-basin of the Low Piracicaba River (SP) have been defined. The present work employs the following procedures: the visual interpretation method of satellite images, the geostatistician method of kriging and digital processing of images to obtain the thematic map of interest. Such data indicated that four different areas of vulnerability, represented by classes of density of drainage, identified high, medium high, medium low and low density. The findings revealed that the area is heterogeneous, with regions of different intensities of erosive processes. Key-words: kriging, remote sensing, drainage density.
