Quality and urban expansion in Mestre D’Armas stream basin (DF)
Abstract
The present paper analytically studies the evolution of soil use/occupation in Mestre D´Armas stream basin (Federal District, Brazil), through the employment of geoprocessing techniques. The data is crossed with water samples collected in 4 different points, based in CONAMA resolution #20/86. Six parameters are interpreted: chemical demand of oxygen; total phosphor; turbidity; dissolved oxygen; solids in suspension; and ammonia. The results show not only a huge growth in the consolidated urban area and occupied lots, but also the decrease of quality in human use water until 1998, when it was implanted the central of sewerage treatment plant in the city of Planaltina. Key words : Urban Expansion, Digital Ground Model, Draina ge Basin.Downloads
