Abstract

The Physical Education in night teaching still has many gaps, so this research aimed to identify the social representations of Physical Education sustained by the students workers of this modality. This item was introduced, through semi-structured interviews, to 44 students of night teaching in the municipality of Belford Roxo and Rio de Janeiro. The analysis of the material discursive rhetoric indicated that students believe that it refers to: sports, entertainment and health and pointed his practice for two directions: the Physical Education or is to speak or to do. In conclusion, it was possible to seize evidence that social representations of physical education for these workers students condense in the metaphor medicine. This subject is the representation of body that appears as a deposit of energy, and is related to the field of representation of human development, gender, and from school.

Possui graduação em Educação Física pela Universidade Castelo Branco (1997) e mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Estácio de Sá (2008). Atualmente é professora de educação física da Prefeitura do Rio de Janeiro, e atua no projeto piloto de Educação Física no Programa de Educação de Jovens e Adultos. Tem experiência nas áreas de Educação e Educação Física, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: educação, educação física, escola noturna, alfabetização, desenvolvimento humano, corpo e movimento e dificuldade na leitura e escrita. Possui graduação em Pedagogia pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1972), mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (1978) e doutorado em Educação pela Universidade de São Paulo (1987). Atualmente é - Revista Brasileira de Estudos Pedagógicos , - Em Aberto , - Educação e Cultura Contemporânea (1807-2194), pesquisador associado da Fundação Carlos Chagas e professor adjunto da Universidade Estácio de Sá. Tem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em Filosofia da Educação, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: representações sociais, filosofia da educação, epistemologia, educação ambiental e epistemologia da pedagogia.
