Sport science. considered here in its widest sence as physical activity 01' human movement. has been discussed to exhaustion. The present work had the purpose of making a review, based on german autor,. about the situation of sport science. its conquests and problems. The possibilities of integration between the different disciplines that consitute sport science are discussed. as well as some problems that emerge from the growing specialization in different areas. The legitimation of scientific work in sport should be reinforced, by relating it with actual social and political questions and problems. The difficulties that appear with. trial integration and with the historical experience show that one should look at interdisciplinarity with some ceticism, but also try to maintain the different sub-areas of sport science together, to prevent MAN, as a whole. to be forgotten.Downloads
