Abstract

The article intends collaborate with one possible conception of work in the field of Critical Environmental Education, presenting a theoretical-methodological discussion linked to the participant research. This, through materials produced by researchers and high school students of a public school in Campinas - SP. Are emphasized the prospects that the group assumed during the research, whether related to environmental education in its critical design; the place as object of study and generating theme of the collective discussions; as well as the teaching of science as necessarily contextualized. Data were presented from the discourse of participants, explicitating their choices and reflections subsidized by theoretical framework adopted and, also, indicating the participant research as methodology which approaches of the Critical Environmental Education.
